Nestled on the serene mid-north coast of NSW, The Fog Getaway by Tiny Away offers a peaceful retreat amidst nature's beauty. Surrounded by lush green fields and gentle mist, it provides a tranquil escape where evenings under starlit skies offer a cozy reprieve after days exploring rural New South Wales.
During my stay, I immersed myself in the local wonders. I leisurely strolled through Bulahdelah, the closest town just a 10-minute drive away, embracing the slower pace of rural life. Venturing to the nearby Bulahdelah Mountain walk, surrounded by green flora in all directions, I navigated up the winding pathways until I reached the top of the majestic Ted Baker Lookout. Blessed with breathtaking views of the Myall River flowing towards the coast... it was well worth the hike.
No visit would be complete without admiring 'The Grandis,' New South Wales' tallest tree. Standing over 70 meters tall, its ancient presence is a testament to Australia's resilient native flora. Thanks to the previous day's rain, a 4WD was essential to reach this natural wonder, and I was grateful for my host’s guidance(Use Host Fady’s name with his permission) . Located just a short drive from The Fog Getaway, the journey to 'The Grandis' began only meters from the property's front gate, adding to the adventure and discovery.
As I bid farewell to The Fog Getaway, I carry cherished memories of tranquility and hospitality. This retreat into rural New South Wales provided not only solitude and rejuvenation but also a deep connection with nature's beauty.
