Located on island off island, is the amazing Tiny Away ‘Banyula’’. A 15min ferry ride from Kettering, Tasmania over to Bruny island, and you have landed in one of Tasmania’s most special locations. Banyula sits amongst the Tasmania coastal bushland, grass trees, wildlife & amazing water views are on your doorstep.
Bruny Island is an island divided by an isthmus, creating north and south Bruny. There is so much to explore and experience on this island, from bushwalking, amazing beaches, kayaking, gourmet foods and wines, penguin tours, light house tours, wilderness boat tours, a few days is not long enough to explore this extraordinary island.
With some of the most natural and pristine beaches and coastline, Banyula is perfectly situated to soak in the islands natural beauty. There are 20 ferry crossings each day, and a time table & fares can be found on the site.
Also note, there are a few food options on the island, mainly located down south, but no large grocery stores, a good idea to bring your own basic staples. Only place to refuel is also located on the South Island at Adventure Bay. The island consists of a mix of sealed and dirt roads, and care must be taken for the abundance of wildlife when driving, particularly between dusk and dawn.
