A Little Time Alone to Ourselves

After a hectic Covid Christmas and New Year, we finally had a little down time to ourselves and decided to embark on another tiny adventure. We really didn't want to do too much so we booked the tiny house at Belrose Estate. This tiny house was nestled amongst the picturesque owner's private vineyard and the green valleys of South East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It was the ideal place for us to rejuvenate and recuperate. When you arrive, the place is as beautiful as the pictures you see. First thing we did when we got there was just to sit outside watching the sunset with nothing but some soft music playing from our bluetooth speakers. Yes. I would recommend bringing along a bluetooth speaker on your trip as it really does set the mood and calm you down or hype you up if that's what you're after. After a quiet dinner we found ourselves stargazing out on the deck again pondering about life. Morning comes quickly after a restful night's sleep. We were greeted by the amazing view once more even while we're still in bed. A quick cup of coffee and some breakfast later we embarked on a little adventure to the local honey farm. There's a little cafe with a live bee hive but we were there for the local honey. And there's a section where it's the odd bunch, meaning it's the last jars of that particular kind of honey for like $2-$5, needless to say, we bought about 6 jars on the way out! What a steal! haha Meeniyan was a great little town to visit as well. It has got an amazing gallery with some incredible artwork, a bottle shop that stocks all of the local wines, beers and gin. Right next door you'll find a deli with amazing food that you can buy and sit outside for lunch. There's also a woodfire pizza in the courtyard and a french bakery that has really good croissants. But if you're a coffee snob like us, you'll want to pop into The Meeniyan Store. They serve their coffee with St Ali's beans and have garden seating outside. And after coffee, there's nothing quite like a snooze on the beach. In the area, you'll find the famous Venus Bay Beach on one side, and Sandy Point Beach on the other. We ventured to both to have a look and enjoyed our afternoon at the beach before heading back to the Belrose Estate for a little steak dinner with a view. This was a great little trip for us to have a little time alone to ourselves, to reset before heading back to our hectic lives again. Thank you Tiny Away for taking care of everything and making it hassle free for us to stay at Belrose Estate. And a huge shoutout to Lana the host too! She even left us a little welcome platter when we arrived and offered us wine from her family's private vineyard!
