THE SPACE
Maroota Greens Zen by Tiny Away is a tranquil eco-friendly tiny house just an hour from Sydney, set near the picturesque Maroota suburbs. Designed with sustainability in mind, it perfectly blends simplicity with outdoor adventure.

The retreat’s proximity to Fagan Park allows guests to indulge in garden strolls, farm experiences, and encounters with local wildlife for a truly immersive nature escape. Explore the natural beauty of South Maroota Reserve or uncover the hidden allure of nearby waterfalls.

A cozy 139 square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers). The tiny homes are located on a rural acreage surrounded by forest and wildlife.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we have other holiday homes on the property, available with 24 hours' notice. The distance between them is about 100 metres

LOCATIONS
Guests can access the tiny home and its immediate surroundings, including the front garden, a full track at the rear, the dam, and the water valley. Additional amenities include a café, restroom, and an electric car charging point (available starting July 2025). For those seeking extra adventure, horse riding and quad biking are available for an additional fee.
- Free Firewood provided - Smoking is not allowed - Charcoal BBQ grill is available - Breakfast is available for $10-$30 per person - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Taxi services and activities like horse riding is available for an extra fee - Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving - We would like to advise guests that longer stays, or later check-outs will incur an additional charge - We love our dogs and respect the owners who bring their pets, but need to know in advance. Pets are allowed for a $20 fee per pet, paid directly to the host. Pets must be kept on a leash, and full pet policies will be sent before arrival. ADVISORY: - Mobile reception inside the cabin is strong for Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone. Signal may be limited around the track, forest, and dam areas. - Guests must use the designated BBQ area and designated firepit area only. BBQs cannot be placed next to the tiny home due to safety regulations. The firepit must not be used on total fire‑ban days or during periods of extreme heat. - As the area receives heavy rainfall, an umbrella may be needed Important note: - BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. - Our caretaker documents the cabin condition before each arrival. If you notice anything, please contact us immediately. - This is a rural forest environment, and despite regular cleaning, occasional spider webs or dust may appear naturally. If you notice anything, please contact us immediately so we can either offer you an alternative unit (subject to availability) or arrange for the cleaner to attend right away.
Maroota Greens JOY by Tiny Away is just an hour from Sydney, offering a peaceful escape in nature. Set near historic Maroota, known for its sandy soils and Indigenous heritage, it’s surrounded by bushland and native flora. It’s also close to local gems like South Maroota Reserve and Ironbark Falls, perfect for bushwalks and exploring the outdoors. Explore the area with visits to Cattai National Park for bushwalks and picnics, or Ebenezer Church, Australia’s oldest church. Enjoy riverside walks at Wiseman’s Ferry, fruit picking at Canoelands Orchard, and local produce from Maroota farms. Meet native animals at Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary, or step back in time at Australiana Pioneer Village. Don’t miss the beautiful Hawkesbury River for boating, fishing, and kayaking.
