Lahod Tiny House by Tiny Away rests by the settlement of Tabor, only 40 minutes away from the capital city Ljubljana, yet it feels like stepping into a story. Among wild hills and open meadows, one slope even resembles a creature frozen in stone. Nights unveil a starlit canvas untouched by light, while days invite cycling adventures and moments with gentle farm animals.

From here, history and culture are close at hand. Explore the towers of Celje Castle, the collections of Velenje Museum, the strength of Velenje Castle, or climb St. Ulrich's Hill and Krvavica Mountain Peak. It is a gateway to Slovenia’s beauty, woven with heritage and wonder.

The 252-square-foot tiny home includes water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking gear, and a private bathroom with an electric-heated shower, hand basin, and a flushed toilet.

Guests have full access to the tiny house and the outdoor area around it. The only spaces off-limits are the family home and the building where the animals are kept.

In Tabor, the Lower Savinja Valley speaks through its fields, hop rows, and forested hills. Lahod Tiny House by Tiny Away is in Tabor, on the edge of the Lower Savinja Valley. The scenery shifts from open fields to wooded hills while the Savinja River carves its way toward Celje and the Sava Hills. This is Styria country, where hop frames, sawmills, and neat farmyards mark a working landscape. In summer, the valley rises with tall hop rows and the scent of kilns, a reminder of Žalec’s long tradition in “green gold.” Ljubljana is only 40 minutes away, so the capital is easily accessible. The Trojane pass links these hills with the city and makes day trips easy. In search of nearby attractions? History takes shape at Celje Castle, once the largest fortification in Slovenia and home of the Counts of Celje. The medieval walls still host festivals and late summer living-history nights. To the north, Velenje Castle stands as one of the best-preserved Renaissance strongholds, now part of the Velenje Museum network that tells stories of coal, craft, and culture. For quick hikes, St. Ulrich’s Hill offers sweeping views above Ljubljana alongside a small church and WWII memorial. The climb to Krvavica Mountain Peak (909 m) rewards hikers with a southern trail and a striking limestone “window” on the north face.
